We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly driven Product Manager to lead our Special Programs Management application suite in Miami-Dade, which includes both IEP and Service Tracking. These solutions help educators navigate the complexities and efficiently and effectively serve their students with special needs.  You would help steer the solution roadmap and drive all components from idea through design, deployment, and operations while working in an exciting, fast-paced, agile environment.   
  
This role reports to the Group Product Manager, Product Management and works closely with Development, Architecture, UX Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Strategic Partners to deliver solutions that simplify the daily work life of the front line of education.  
 
Responsibilities
What a Product Manager does at Frontline Education:  
  • Owns the Product Roadmap. Comfortable living and breathing in the software product backlog through the SDLC; owning, creating user stories, refining and prioritizing business requirements 
    • Ensure requirements, project status, and release notes are properly documented 
    • Provide updates on plans, status, and progress against KPI’s with both external and internal stakeholders  
    • Develop the Annual Operating Plan roadmap and prepare groomed work on a quarterly basis.  
  • Cross-functional collaboration. Collaboratively work with multiple agile scrum teams to estimate, groom and plan for the highest priority features 
    • Advocate for the product by leading the backlog grooming and prioritization and participating in daily and recurring agile ceremonies including stand-ups and retrospectives 
    • Provide support, decision-making, and validation during design and development 
    • Effectively collaborate with distributed teams (both onshore and offshore) using Zoom and other virtual communication tools, ensuring alignment and ongoing user satisfaction.  
    • Work with customer support, training, and implementation teams to ensure successful adoption and ongoing user satisfaction. 
    • Partner with the UX team through research and customer validation to ensure we are solving the problems in the right way 
  • Customer & Market Insight 
    • Conduct customer validation sessions to ensure prioritized features meet customer needs 
    • Stay up to date on the subject matter, focusing specifically on Forida’s special education policies, legislative changes, and compliance requirements.  
    • Participate in customer facing situations and user conferences as a product expert

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
 
  • 3-5 years in Product Management designing and delivering world-class software products 
  • Proven expertise leading cross-functional teams that together launch on-time and on-budget  
  • Strong special programs (IEP, 504, Gifted, etc.) subject matter expertise, particularly in Florida 
  • Experience with a SaaS application, preferably as part of a special education suite 
  • Bachelor degree in a Business, Computer Science or related field. Masters degree or MBA is a plus.  
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies 
  • Ability to work remotely but someone geographically located in or close to Miami Dade County will be given special consideration 
  • Ability to travel within Florida approximately 10% of the time and possibly outside Florida for a company meeting.
