Instructional Designer 
  
Location Requirements: Hybrid to Wayne, PA. 
Description 
Reporting to the Director, Enablement, the Instructional Designer will be a core member of the Enablement team and work to support Frontline’s efforts to provide enablement programs for internal and external customers. The Instructional Designer will work with clients to discover how the solution will best support their district, answer questions regarding the new solution, deliver training, and improve LMS / Learning Center e-Learning materials.  
NOTE: This role will work across multiple products creating instructional materials for users learning how to use software that supports Human Capital Management, Student Management and Business Operations Management.  
Responsibilities  
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN  
  • Translate solution knowledge into engaging, interactive and instructionally sound learning content. 
  • Ensure enablement resources apply various learning styles and modalities to meet learner needs (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led training, knowledge articles, videos). 
  • Develop / maintain cohesive solution enablement program that includes scheduled and just-in-time resources. 
  • Stay updated with instructional design practices and related learning tools. 
  • Collaborate with the Content Development team on knowledge base content curation: 
    • Prioritize new knowledge base content creation based on support volume trends and self-service needs. 
    • Meet individually with content developers regularly, to ensure that workloads are managed effectively, and content created meets standards. 
  • Develop new feature documentation ahead of product rollout to clients. 
 
DELIVERY  
  • Work directly with other team members to assist with client questions and schedule training to align with initiative completion. 
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule training events. 
  • Train the Trainers and/or direct End-Users, in Frontline’s solutions. 
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities with a goal of reducing incoming Support volume by curating the Learning Center content and promoting self-service capabilities that allow District users to independently maximize their software solutions to streamline their back-end operations. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Required Skills   
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and best practices in SaaS solution enablement. 
  • Able to learn new software solutions quickly and develop a deep enough understanding to deliver training on that software to new users. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). 
  • Ability to collaborate and develop effective working relationships with other Frontline Education staff or initiative stakeholders.   
Qualifications 
  • 2+ years designing and developing content for adult learners. 
  • 2+ years' experience delivering end user training. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with e-learning, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions. 
  • Creative thinking and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, easy-to-understand learning content. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences. 
  • Track record of business process improvement. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization. 
  • Ability to analyze and identify improvements in service systems. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Previous experience working with education software supporting Human Capital Management, Student Management and / or Business Operations Management is a plus.
