Network Technician
 
This position is HYBRID. You will work out of the Wayne office on a hybrid schedule. 

Overview:
Frontline Education is seeking a Network Technician to join our Corporate IT team. This individual is responsible for delivering an outstanding end user experience to our internal teams, supporting collaboration technologies within our offices, and assisting the network engineering team with network support and growth.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Build and deploy new laptops and applications, onboard new employees
  • Rapid response to Level 1 issues
  • Triage and address Level 2 issues, including escalations
  • Assist lead network engineer with routine tasks and cross-functional planning meetings
  • Consistently maintain documentation of changes via department standards
  • Assist cross-functional staff members to complete various tasks as needed
  • Perform System Analyst responsibilities, researching and recommending hardware and software purchase and use that will resolve problems or enhance existing processes
  • Streamline and automate processes
  • This role requires limited travel
 

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent job experience
  • A technical knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance (workstations, laptops, printers, servers)
  • Thorough Operating System understanding:  Windows and macOS
  • Experience with programming languages/scripting
  • Familiarity with installing network equipment – switches and wireless access points, preferably Cisco/Meraki
  • Working knowledge of computer networks – subnets, vLANs, VPNs
  • Working knowledge of edge networking – firewall, load balancers, IDS/IPS
  • General knowledge of Linux
  • General knowledge of desktop virtualization concepts
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Device Management familiarity: SCCM, InTune, Jamf
